A (14 Km)
Starting from Sansepolcro follow the state road 3 bis towards Pieve S.Stefano, in direction towards the Montedoglio dam, as the road is along the lake. The road is well tarred throughout, on tract A and after 3 kms from the habitated part of the town you will confront 3 demanding uphill tracts followed by a long descent which leads you back to the old road submersed by water. From here you carry on until you see on the right a deviation which will lead you to an industrial workhouse near which is a sign indicating Castelnuovo.
E (4 Km)
From here the road is steeply uphill, very demanding. the road has no deviation and is simple to follow, first tarred and then well beaten until you reach the altitude of 420 - 670 mts in 4 Kms. In the last part of the road you can see above you the state road which you arrive by simply following the road, until you reach the tarred road.
D (8 Km)
Here you can return to Sansepolcro or continue on your left in the direction of the pass of Viamaggio. The road is tarred and is uphill for 7 Kms. until you reach altitude 983 m.s.l.m. Where you will find an excellent restaurant and bar and the road continues towards your right for Rimini. We will however take the direction left to  Pieve Santo Stefano and after approximately 100 m you will see a deviation left leading you downhill on a beaten tract to the road that returns you to Sansepolcro.
C (8 Km)
The road is downhill and the terrain good even in case of rain. The first 3 km is steeply downhill, and on the right you will catch sight of the Convent of Cerbaiolo, a beautiful and isolated spot frequented by Saint Francesco. To reach the convent turn right and be get ready for a good climb. Other wise you can go downhill until you reach a small industrial conglomerate where you reach the tarred road and the state road Tiberina 3 bis.
B (3 Km)
On the left the route  is insignificant and continues quite naturally until you reach tract A which we left in precedence before climbing uphill to Castelnuovo.
A (14 Km)

From here the tract is perfectly tarred and you will climb in the opposite direction the same ascent that you have passed before downhill. The road will lead to Sansepolcro with no possibility of making a mistake.
