A
(2 Km)
-
from Anghiari, near the Campo alla Fiera (easy to find it is
a zone with gardens and car parks, it is better if you ask
someone for directions, everyone knows the point) you must
take the road that descends between the houses on the
opposite side of the landscape that looks down on
Sansepolcro. After 1 km of downhill you will arrive at a
fork.
-
B
(9 Km)
we take the right tarred road for about 1km of a false
platen (plain). After which we will see a dirt road (quite
broad) which climbs decisively on the right. Jacking this
road we will have 300mt of road climb in front of us though
curves and meadows We will then arrive at the first ridge
whit a beautiful landscape below where we must deviate
left. After some time we will arrive at a few slopes that
are brief but very difficult also for the state of terrain.
At last we will reach a small hamlet whit fountain etc...
and continuing on we will arrive on the crest of
Montemercole which is substantially level. When we see a
deviatio0n on the left in the shape of a dirt road we will
have reached the end of tract B.
-
C
(14 Km)
from hereon there is 3 km without uphill work, through woods
and wonderful landscape. the terrain is perfect although a
dirt path. We then find a tarred road and just after 50m an
elbow turn on the right. take this route and we will enter a
wood downhill until we reach the church of Gello which
deserves a Halt. Just before arriving at the church, along
the dirt path, you will have noticed downhill path to the
left, its the only one possible so we will descend by this
path. After about 1 km we will arrive at some houses on
either side from where you can see the beautiful Galbino
castle. Further on we will descend until we cross the road
that links Anghiari to Arezzo. turn right and after a long
tract of level road we will climb up with some difficulty
until we reach Anghiari. Once arrived at the top, turning
right we will enter into this historic town and further on
at Campo alla Fiera from where we started.
